My favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology is my cell phone because is smaller than computers or laptops and easier to transport. The cell phone lets me play, listen to music, take photos, chat with friends, watch videos, movies and series, even allow me to study because I can record the class and later I transcribed the audios. Also, I can write notes of the class and downland the teacher’s presentations from university’s page. The unique problem of my cell phone is the battery that lasts approximately only eighteen hours.

All days I use my cell phone, in my house, in the route from my house to the university, in the public transport and in the class. I like this piece because I can use every time that I need it know something or simply for distraction.

Maybe if I stop using my cell phone, my life would be difficult but I would have more free time.

Why I study chemistry and pharmacy?

Hi everyone. 

When I was little I didn't know would study chemistry and pharmacy, I wanted to be singer or actress, what I wanted is very different to what I want to be today.

Just in the high school, I started thinking in my professional future. The truth is that I liked the ‘’three big areas’’ (humanist, mathematics and science) but when I had to choose an elective I decide science because I liked more the chemistry and biology. Always I wanted to work in the health area so the careers that I prefer are medical technology, nursing and chemistry and pharmacy. Finally, I decided this option because the study programme is the most interest and the professional area too. Also, I always had the support of my family.

The university is more difficult and stressful than the school but is interesting and challenging.

Someday, I will work in the assistance area in a hospital being part of a medic team.

My Auto Biography

Hi everyone!  My name is Daniela Orellana Pino, I was born on September 7th, 1997 in the Hospital Salvador, Providencia. I live in Maipú with my parents and my dog called Bear, I have a brother he is 24 years old and he lives in Valdivia for three weeks (I miss him :( )

I studied high school at Liceo Carmela Carvajal in Providencia where I learnt a lot about subjects but too different social realities and this helped me understand better the people, also I made really good friends. Currently, I am studying Chemistry and Pharmacy in my third year at the University of Chile.

In my free time, I like playing with my dog, spend time with my boyfriend and my family, and obviously sleep and eat haha.

Hi everyone, my name is Daniela Orellana and the more interesting topics for me to include in this course could be vacations, travels, pets and family.

In my opinión, the more difficult skills are speaking and writing because you have to know much words with your pronunciation and recently I learned more vocabulary in English. In another hand, the easier skill is reading because I can link in a better way and I understand better.

The use of blogs in this course for me is an opportunity for reinforcing my English, improve my redaction and to know my classmate interests.
