Hi everyone! The post of today is special because is the number 10, and this is the final blog.

This semester turned out to be longer than normal due to student strike that we lived in the faculty, but finally it is coming to an end although we are all anxious waiting for results and trying to pass the subjects.

This time at university was very difficult and stressful for me because I had six subjects and one of them I am studying for the second time, but despite this I feel that I have learned a lot in all the courses.

An achievement of this academic semester would be to exempt me from the subject I am taking for the second time (Physico-chemistry), although there are still missing notes that the teacher must deliver, I think it is most likely.

Something that has not gone very well lately is that my grandmother who lives in the countryside has been very sick and was even hospitalized so I have been somewhat worried and sad. At least, now she has improved a little and is at home.

In general so far this year has been very good, since my family, friends and boyfriend have always been there to support me and give me spirits when I need it most.

Free Post

Hi everyone! Today the topic is free and I decided to tell you about a trip that I made in 2017. With my parents, my cousins, my uncle and my aunt travelled to Perú, Machu Picchu.

First, we take an aeroplane from Santiago until Arica. In Arica live my grandfather (father of my mom) with his wife. When we arrived, we went go to his house to have lunch and went to a bus terminal to cross the border with Perú. This was chaotic because there were a lot of people and the buses did not have enough capacity for all. When we finally crossed we arrived at Tacna and we were two days. Although the city doesn’t very beautiful, the shops were inexpensive and the food was delicious. Then, we travelled to Arequipa, it was an exhausting trip because the road has many curves and the journey lasts six hours. We all arrived dizzy and early in the morning so we decided to continue travelling to Cusco (twelve hours on a bus).  Finally, we travelled from Cusco until Machu Picchu in a car and walking by the train's side. The trip was wonderful and risky, the landscape was beautiful because there was a lot of vegetation, rivers and waterfalls. Then, in Machu Picchu, I was amazed at the ruins, the landscape and the energy of the place.

My favorite Subject

Hi everyone! In this post I will write about my favorite subject of my fifth semester at the university.

Of my 6 courses that I have, the one I most enjoy studying was General Pharmacology. 

This course has as requirements two subjects, '' Systems Physiology '' and '' Chemical Analysis Laboratory ''. In this course, there are theoretical classes, where the theme to study are the processes of Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism and Excretion of the drugs, Theory of the Receptors and Preclinical Studies of the drugs. In addition to the classes, we have laboratories and seminars although this semester we only had three of each. 

In the laboratories we did different activities such as evaluating the percentage of binding of the drug to transporting proteins, predicting the absorption of the drug and analyzing the metabolization. On the other hand, the seminars consisted of evaluating the results obtained in laboratories and reading scientific article related to the topic. All this was evaluated with controls.

This subject is very important for me because it is the basis for the subjects that come later. I liked it because I learned about the processes that the drug undergoes in the organism to cause an effect and the conditions that the potential molecules must have to become drugs, which was very interesting.

My favorite website (related to my carrer)

Hi everyone! In this opportunity I writing about a career related website. In the actuality, I don’t use many websites for study because I prefer books and teaching material but exist a website that in my first year at the university helped me a lot. This website is a Youtube channel called ‘’UNICOOS’’ ( this is the link: https://www.youtube.com/user/davidcpv ), in which you can find videos of chemistry, physics, mathematics and technology.

I like the videos of this channel because they are classified information by theme, for example, there is a playlist about aromatic compounds or and much video complements.

It helps me a lot to study for different subjects and especially for Physics 1 (Mechanics) because it was very difficult for me in the first year. 

I used this website always that I will have a control or test, I mean, every day of the week.

 I would recommend this website for all students who need extra help either level of school or university because there are diverse topics available.
